Forest School

Our Forest School programme, led by our qualified Forest School practitioner, Mrs Markey, provides children with a unique opportunity to engage with the natural environment in a hands-on and meaningful way. Based at Park Avenue Base, children spend their afternoons outdoors in the Grove, taking part in an immersive experience that enhances their understanding of nature while promoting teamwork, resilience, and confidence. Through a wide range of activities such as bug hunts, nature crafts, planting, and exploring animal habitats and footprints, pupils learn both independently and collaboratively. They also develop practical skills, including safely using tools, working responsibly with fire, and mastering techniques such as knot tying. These experiences not only build important life skills but also foster a deep respect for and appreciation of the surrounding environment.
