Gardening at Riverbridge
At Riverbridge Primary School, children are encouraged to explore the world around them in many ways. One area that is particularly important to us is the environment, therefore we have gardening areas which the children maintain, plant and harvest fruit, vegetables and flowers. Sometimes this is as part of their lessons, at other times as an after school club, either way it makes a contribution to both the school environment, and the children’s understanding of nature. The children also very much enjoy tasting the ‘fruits of their labours’.
