Uniform
We encourage our children to take a pride in their appearance. To this end all pupils are expected to wear the prescribed school uniform, as we believe this is an important element in helping to develop a sense of belonging to Riverbridge. We ask parents to support us in this policy by ensuring that children are sent to school correctly dressed.
Non gender specific
- Grey skirts/pinafores/trousers/shorts
- White short/long sleeve shirts (not polo shirts)
- Royal blue v neck sweatshirt or wool cardigans
- Blue/Yellow Riverbridge striped tie
- Summer royal blue (not navy blue) and white check dresses.
- White or grey short or long socks/grey tights
- Black low heeled shoes - not trainers preferably with Velcro
- No high fashion or cult haircuts please e.g. ‘train-tracks’ or ‘mohicans’
P. E. and Swimming
- Yellow round neck T-shirt or technical Riverbridge t-shirt
- Navy shorts
- Navy joggers
- Navy sweatshirt
- Sports trainers
- One piece plain -preferably royal or navy swimsuit/ plain swim shorts preferably royal or navy not Bermuda - Year 4 only
Extras
- Reversible fleece jackets
- Book bags-Compulsory from Nursery to Year 2
- Backpack / rucksack - sensible sized bags are permitted from Year 3-6 or book bag if preferred.
- Summer caps/woolly hats
- Hair accessories /hairbands should be small & blue or neutral colours. Alice Bands only in royal blue.
All earrings must be removed for PE, they cannot be covered. This is a Surrey protocol that has to be followed. Any child who has earrings in, or who cannot remove by themselves will have to sit out of their lesson that week. As a reminder PE is part of the National Curriculum and every child is expected to take part.
All hair should be tied back from the face to help the children's concentration. We strongly recommend that any hair longer than shoulder-length is tied back to avoid the risk of head lice.

Pre-loved uniform is available from the office at our Park Avenue base every Monday for a small donation to the PTA.
